Despite organising a petition that was signed by over 1,100 people, the Labour-led council has still failed to restore the derelict North Corner Pontoon. Even though the local community has continually called for the repair work to begin, there is no sign that this is going to happen. The Council needs to listen to the concerns of local residents and I will keep campaigning for the restoration work to begin as soon as possible.
I am also fighting to save the field outside of Albemarle Villas, one of the few Green Field sites remaining in Plymouth Sutton and Devonport. If allowed to be developed on, this setting for nearby residents will be ruined and it is important that the protests over this proposal are rightly heard. I have written to the Council and English Heritage, voicing my concerns and look forward to continuing to fight to save this valuable green field site.
